About Croix Crest, LLC

My name is William (Bill) Kampfer I am the founder of Croix Crest, LLC I have been doing quality work in the construction industry for over 30 years. My concept is simple: Projects of all types need good leadership and well trained personnel for great results.

is a carpentry sub-contractor fully insured through both Midwest Family Mutual and Berkley Risk insurance companies. Framing to finish, home or office, we will deliver the goods. This company is based on the belief that the customers' needs are of the utmost importance. My team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

My career in building actually started in Oakland Jr. High 8th grade wood shop with Mr. Miller. The project " build a home to 1/8th scale" and I chose to build the home I lived in at the time. My mother returned home from her day with my teachers and was very proud of the fact that Mr. Miller my wood shop teacher told her he had given me 295 pts. out of a possible 300 pts. He also said the 5 pt. deduct fell in the "nobody is perfect" category and he simply couldn't find the flaw. At this time I did not know carpentry was coming in my future. When I was 17 years old I was in the family business building packaging equipment from concept to installation for my father. At the age of 20 years my experience solving problems had become a system of finding solutions.

My decision to reduce my time on the road positioned me part-time in the family biz so I signed on as a carpenter's apprentice with local 87 in St.Paul, MN. In the early 80's one was lucky to have a job. The carpenters were not extremely busy, so if an opportunity in the winter for heading south to install a system arose my carpentry Foreman would usually let me go. Between the two careers my calendar was full and experiences rich.

Since 1982 my career choice is carpentry. Over the 30 years I have had some amazing mentors and I feel fortunate for that alone.
